Eurest Expands Partnership with Woman-Owned Miffy’s Foods

National business and industry foodservice provider Eurest announced today an exclusive partnership with Portland, Oregon-based Miffy’s Foods. In June, Miffy’s Foods will become the sole supplier of brownie mix for Eurest marketplaces nationwide, supporting a beloved U.S. dessert item and top-selling treat.

This decision reflects Eurest’s commitment to support the growth and scalability of small businesses. In 2019, Eurest partnered with Miffy’s Foods as its inaugural Business Partner Accelerator, a program developed to help minority- and women-owned businesses expand within national contracted foodservices. Miffy’s signature “grumpy bananas” concept for her muffin, scone, waffle and pancake mixes transforms surplus fruit into delicious treats in alignment with Eurest’s work to reduce food waste.

“We are thrilled to expand our partnership with Miffy, whose quality mixes our culinary team enjoys working with and our guests love to indulge in,” said Eurest Chief Culinary Officer and Chef Chris Ivens-Brown. “This collaboration enhances our offerings and reinforces our steadfast commitment to fostering growth for our diverse supplier network.”

With Eurest’s support integrating Miffy’s products into a variety of menus, Miffy’s business went from distribution in Oregon to 49 states within 18 months. By the end of 2023, the partners reached an important milestone in reducing food waste, rescuing 40 tons of overripe fruit and upcycling it into Miffy’s Foods mixes. With Eurest’s partnership, Miffy’s ultimate goal is to reduce 450 tons of food waste annually by 2030.

Through a series of blind taste tests conducted among the Eurest team, Miffy’s brownies emerged as the overwhelming favorite, a recipe she developed in her early days working in a commercial kitchen.

“When I was starting my business, I delivered baked goods locally in Portland and constantly received feedback on the brownie so I decided to reintroduce it and share it with the team at Eurest,” said Miffy Jones. “I’m overwhelmed by the response and truly grateful for the growth and impact that Eurest has driven for my business and life.”

The gluten-free brownies are allergen-friendly and feature a rich cocoa flavor from cocoa powder sourced from a supplier committed to sustainable agricultural practices.

Miffy’s baking mixes are manufactured in Portland, Oregon. Miffy’s Foods is a proud 100% Woman-Owned business that is WBENC and SBA Tier One and third-party Certified since 2018.
